Be Brave Engage :: Take Bold Action
November 19, 2018
This week: Engage in Taking Bold Action > be the inspiration to push for change.
I was thankful for Amplify Consulting to play a role in the National Philanthropy Day in Victoria this past weekend. It was a remarkable event that honoured those who give so generously of their time, talents, and treasures.
I hosted a Masterclass in Philanthropy, moderating a panel that included Devesh Bharadwaj, a young researcher/innovator looking to bring clean water and power to parts of the world that are lacking through innovation and technology. Sheldon Gardiner, creator of the Do Some Good app which helps connect businesses to non-profit organizations with ease. And Joe Roberts, the Skid Row CEO, a man who lived on the streets of Vancouver, got clean, and through God’s grace turned his life around in remarkable ways to start a movement called Push for Change. Today, he inspires people to make a promise and take bold action.
I love that idea: taking bold action.
To me, I believe you can have all the intelligence and creativity in the world, but if you don’t take meaningful next steps to make something happen, more times than not, things don’t happen. Problems aren’t solved. Your life remains unfulfilled, knowing the potential is there but you’re not willing to step out to make it happen.
This week, take bold action. Be brave engage. The first step could be rallying a team around you to help. Don’t let your dream sit in neutral just idling.
